Berghain resident Fiedel launches new 12″ series

Berghain resident Fiedel is launching a new series on his Fiedeltwo imprint with a 12″ from rising Irish techno producer Mode_1.

The Fiedeltwo imprint was launched in 2013 to showcase Fieldel’s collaborations with other artists, allowing Fiedelone to remain focused on his own solo material. The label specializes in “jacking, rhythm & groove focused pure Techno workouts”, to use distributor Hardwax’s idiosyncratic lingo.

Mode_1 (Knotweed) is a Dublin-based DJ & producer holding residencies at Subject Dublin, District 8 & Index. His banger ‘Oiche’ was part of the mini-compilation released as a post-scriptum to Fiedel’s Berghain 08 Mix. This release is the first part of the new 4×4 Series in which producers get Carte Blanche to showcase 4 original tracks. If honors were given, this EP would definitely get stamped Cum Laude: Mode_1 sticks to his guns, elegantly delivering a classy 4-tracker that remains coherent but never uniform.

4×4 Series Pt.1 will be available for purchase through Hardwax on July 23rd.
