Squaring the Circle movie tells the story of legendary rock art work studio Hipgnosis

A brand new film sheds gentle on design studio Hipgnosis.

Founded by Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey “Po” Powel within the late ’60s, Hipgnosis was answerable for a few of the most iconic art work of the twentieth century, together with that of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon.

The movie, titled Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis), is directed by photographer and filmmaker Anton Corbjin, identified for his visible work with artists corresponding to U2 and Depeche Mode. It presents commentary from musicians together with Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, Peter Gabriel and Noel Gallagher.

“What I like about vinyl is the art work is the poor man’s artwork assortment,” declares Noel Gallagher within the trailer earlier than mentioning how Hipgnosis “represents the golden age of the music enterprise”.

Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis) opens in New York cinemas on June 7 with later plans for growth.
