FTC Announces ‘Voice Cloning Challenge’ to Prevent AI-Generated Audio Scams

The Federal Trade Commission has launched a public service marketing campaign urging firms and expertise specialists to develop merchandise, polices and procedures to guard shoppers towards synthetic intelligence-enabled voice cloning scams.

During an open assembly Thursday, the FTC introduced its “Voice Cloning Challenge” to handle methods to dam fraudulent schemes dedicated by way of AI instruments that duplicate a person’s voice.
