McIntosh Announces MX100 A/V Processor and MI347 7-Channel Amplifier

BINGHAMTON, NY — “I can’t believe it’s not butter.” I say things like that from time to time, thinking I’m half-way funny. But when I first experienced a full-bore McIntosh home theater demonstration, I truly said it to our host that evening with all seriousness. Backtracking, I’m from the American south where every food recipe begins with 1/2 a pound of the solid dairy stuff. At the time, I, still young-ish and new to the hobby as it sits from a high-end consumer aspect, I thought I’d never be able to fit, much less afford, a true McIntosh home theater system. Now, with the release of the newly announced streamlined home theater front-end centerpiece and 7-channel amplifier, I’ve got that fit problem squarely under control.
