New Album Releases Project 2020-7-5

Always nice for there to be welcome blasts from the past and the familiar to drop albums in these special times. Shout-outs to:

Say what you want about James Blunt, and I’ve said my fair share, but to his credit,  this album of his has grown on me. And I dare you to go one-on-one with him on Twitter

Moe’s This Is Not, We Are blindsided me. Totally new and unbeknownst to me I had their album on loop when crafting this week’s NARP.

Frances Madden’s Beautiful World made the list because she had the moxie to cover Peter Allen’s I Go To Rio. Enuf said.

Porcupine Tree’s Warszawa was/is a no-brainer.  There’s no way this was NOT going to make the cut.

Simon Jefferis’ Vibrations just got me in the mood. This is my burn the midnight oil and then some selection for you all.

Silent Circle’s Lost in Space might just as well have been entitled Lost in Time. This is pure 80’s euro synth-pop, and I say that with the absolute highest regard. It takes me back to a very happy place.

The Rosemary Clooney Buddy Cole and Nelson Riddle Sessions is well worth a listen, especially for aspiring singers. There’s something about her voice which stopped me dead in my … Her phrasing exquisite.
