Renkus-Heinz
Renkus-Heinz has named Graham Hendry as its new vice president of strategic development, where he will develop and execute the company’s creative vision in both product and market development. Previously, he spent much of his career Tannoy and TC Group, where he began in R&D in 1990. After a stint in commercial integration from 1998 to 2002, he returned to Tannoy—and the brand’s ownership teams at TC Group International and, later, Music Group—in roles including engineering director, business development director, vice president of solutions, and brand leader.
Solid State Logic
Solid State Logic has appointed Marc DeGeorge to the role of national sales manager, audio creation products. DeGeorge, who was previously U.S. sales and marketing manager, music products, will continue to report to Phil Wagner, senior vice president, Solid State Logic. DeGeorge joined SSL in 2011 and has been responsible for managing the company’s independent dealer network and cultivating the company’s console sales, primarily to the North American professional studio market. Throughout his tenure with SSL, DeGeorge has also played a role in helping generate interest among the end user community through sales and marketing, as well as through educational initiatives.
Yamaha Corp. of America
Yamaha Corp. of America has promoted Reed Larrimore to the role of senior director of combo channel sales. He continues to report directly to Garth Gilman, corporate vice president. In his role, Larrimore is responsible for leading sales efforts for the company’s combo music products and expanding the scope of distribution for Yamaha Guitar Group products under the Line 6 and Ampeg brands. He is also tasked with broadening sales for Steinberg software and hardware products. Larrimore joined Yamaha in 2001 as district manager for what was then the Pro Audio and Combo Division, serving the NY, NJ and PA territory. In 2005, Larrimore was promoted to eastern regional sales manager, and in 2012 to director, national sales. He was named director, combo channel sales, in April 2019. Prior to joining Yamaha, he served as general manager at the Music Mart in State College, PA.
THAT Corp.
Dennis Fink has joined THAT Corp. as senior applications engineer. Fink will focus his audio design skills on support for products currently in development, as well as the company’s existing integrated circuit portfolio. Fink has focused on audio for his entire career; most recently, he served as director of engineering at Crestron. Prior to that, he held a variety of design engineering and management positions at Crest Audio, Biamp Systems, Universal Audio, UREI, Mathematical Systems Design and his own company, Fink Analog Audio. His experience includes everything from vacuum tubes to digital signal processing.
Martin Audio
Martin Audio has named Will Harris a product support engineer. As the latest addition to the manufacturer’s Product Support Group, Harris will provide the Martin Audio team and resellers with demos, system design and implementation. He will also commission installations and provide technical support to customers. Based in Las Vegas, NV, Harris has experienced all aspects of the pro audio industry, from being a musician on stage to a live sound engineer, as well as providing technical support for a high-profile manufacturer.
Riedel Communications
Riedel Communications has appointed Lutz Rathmann director of the Managed Technology division. An engineering graduate, Rathmann most recently served as CEO at APS, an agency in the field of automotive events. He previously held several management positions at Riedel, including deputy head of global events. Rathmann’s tasks include the expansion of strategic business areas and partnerships, as well as the continued development of the Riedel solutions portfolio.
Calrec
Calrec has appointed Dave Sampson to the newly created role of network specialist, where he will provide in-house expertise that strengthens Calrec’s ability to support customers in their move to IP. Sampson will offer technical support and consultancy for the design, development and delivery of IP-based networking solutions for Calrec customers, as well as create and deliver training and knowledge-based documentation. A Calrec team member for seven years, Sampson was previously a product test engineer, where he was responsible for compliance testing of Calrec’s AoIP products to industry standards including ST2110, AES67 and NMOS.
Audiologic
Pro audio solutions provider Audiologic has reappointed Diogo Scutti as application support engineer to provide clients with end-to-end technical advice starting from conceptual design and planning to execution and beyond. Scutti returns to Audiologic after spending three years as project engineer at SSE, where he had complete responsibility for system design and focused on developing standards of interface management.
