Review: Focal Chora 806 Stand-Mounted Loudspeakers

I was disappointed that the midrange of the Chora 806s — genuinely good for the money — is not book-ended by a calmer top end and a deeper lower register. As speakers from a company with a pedigree engineering team, they feel to me like a partially missed opportunity. Searching the Focal website for an insight into the thinking behind the company’s products, I came across this gem (verbatim): ‘…characteristics of the Focal Sound include: dynamics (the difference between the bass and treble).
