Before we get to True Life Audio, I would like to tell you a story. Once upon a time there was this handsome young prince doctor busting his cojones working for the local health system trying to make living. Oh, he did reviews too and show coverage when night shifts allowed him to. Those days are over, the doctor moved to the Greek island of Zakynthos and set up a private practice and they lived happily ever after. And that’s that. So nowadays my glorious ATC–ASR–Rockna-Garrard system is no more, details to follow. Time is a bit of an issue, the good doctor gained a couple of daughters in the meanwhile but he is looking to get back to one of his greatest passions, meaning listening to classic music. Stromtuning ist eine viel diskutierte Möglichkeit, den Klang einer HiFi-Kette zu verbessern. CM-Audio empfiehlt, die Sache einfach auszuprobieren statt darüber zu diskutieren.
Dazu haben die Digitalspezialisten ein Testpaket geschnürt, das mit dem Stromfilter Gordian des griechischen Herstellers LAB 12 eines der aktuell ausgereiftesten Stromfilter enthält. Dazu hat CM-Audio noch ein hochwertiges 20-Ampere-Anschlusskabel beigelegt. Der Gordian bietet insgesamt sechs Netzanschlüsse, sodass in den meisten Fällen auf eine Steckernetzleiste verzichtet werden kann und sollte.
Wer die Wirkung des Gordian an der eigenen Anlage testen möchte, kann sich einfach bei CM-Audio melden. Nachdem geklärt ist, ob das Testpaket zu den Anforderungen der heimischen Anlage passt und nötigenfalls geändert oder ergänzt wird, bekommen Interessenten die entsprechenden Komponenten kostenlos für einen Zeitraum von einer Woche zur Verfügung gestellt.
Sofern der Versand mit der normalen Paketpost möglich ist, trägt CM-Audio die Transportkosten. Als Sicherheit wird lediglich eine Kopie oder ein Scan beider Seiten des Personalausweises benötigt. Das Testpaket wird ausschließlich an die auf dem Ausweis eingetragene Adresse versandt.
Der LAB 12 Gordian bietet an vier stark und zwei schwach gefilterten Steckdosen adaptive EMI RFI Filter (gegen EMV, HF-Stör- bzw. Funkstrahlung), adaptive Gleich- und Gegentaktstörungsfilter, eine adaptive Blindleistungskompensation, einen Überspannungsschutz, eine FFT Frequenzanalyse, eine Gleichstromanalyse, eine THD-Analyse, sowie eine Analyse der Leistungsaufnahme. Alle ermittelten Daten werden auf dem zentralen OLED-Display angezeigt.
