What Blu-Ray Player is best for me? (DP-UB820 seems unavailable where I live)

So I’ve been considering the DP-UB820 (technically the 824 since I reside in The Netherlands) for a while, as I want to return to physical media. I’ve already done the same with music and the vinyl records I own. I had this specific Blu-Ray player on my shortlist because of all the praise I’ve seen online about it. But I’ve noticed the player becoming harder to find and more expensive, which makes me think they probably aren’t being produced anymore, since it’s already a few years old.

Then I started digging deeper and realized I might not actually need it anymore, given my use-case. Here are some details:

I watch on an LG C2 55" which obviously supports Dolby Vision and such. However I don’t use any external speakers. I rely on my Bluetooth headset, specifically the Bowers & Wilkins PX8 S1. I live in an apartment where loud playback would disturb neighbors, so I always listen through my headset anyway. I still have the Samsung HW-Q60R Soundbar with the SWA-9000S Surround-set, but I’m trying to sell it.

The main reason I was looking at the DP-UB820 was its supposedly excellent upscaling of regular 1080p Blu-Ray, and possibly even DVDs, to 4K. But I’ve seen comments on avforums suggesting that the 4K upscaling on a TV might be better anyway, especially since my C2 is from 2022, a few years newer.

I should also mention that I own a PlayStation 5, and a friend suggested watching through that, since that’s what he does as well, though his TV is notably worse in comparison XD. My PS5 isn’t connected to my TV, but to my gaming monitor, and I don’t really want to move the PS5 every time I want to watch a movie.

So, after that long ramble, my question is: what is the best Blu-Ray player for my use-case? Is the UB820 still the best choice after all? Or perhaps the UB420? Or maybe something from a completely different brand? Also note that I’m not willing to spend more than I originally planned for the UB820, which was $450 the last time I checked.
