Fraunhofer Institute, for decades a leader in codec research and development that is widely accepted as a global standard, has announced their LC3plus codec. The new LC3plus has received the highly valued Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification as issued by the Japanese Audio Society (JAS). They are an independant organization that is said to guarantee that sound is reproduced as accurately as possible, even when listening over a wireless connection like Bluetooth.
