Sunn O)))’s Stephen O’Malley announces live LP

“Emerging from a dialogue between sound and image.”

Composer and guitarist Stephen O’Malley is releasing a live LP, titled Auﬂösung der Zeit, this March via Editions Mego.

Auﬂösung der Zeit was recorded during O’Malley’s live performance at visual arts institution LE BAL in Paris during May 2018. His show was also part of The Guidebook of Church Burners book, which explores the iconography and history of black metal.

Dedicated to Romanian avant-garde composer Iancu Dumitrescu, Auﬂösung der Zeit follows O’Malley’s collaborative 2019 album with François J. Bonnet, Cylene, as well as his drone sound healing performance at 180 The Strand.
