Tori Amos unveils new album, Ocean To Ocean

“This is a record about your losses, and how you cope with them.”

Tori Amos is releasing a new album, called Ocean To Ocean, via Decca Records this October.

Written during lockdown at Amos’ Cornwall home, the album explores loss and coping mechanisms.

As Amos explains: “I was in my own private hell, so I told myself, then that’s where you write from – you’ve done it before…”

At the time of writing the tracklist has not been revealed.

Ocean To Ocean follows Amos’ Native Invader album.

Diana Ross releasing new album, Thank You

No, thank you.

Diana Ross is releasing a new album, called Thank You, via Decca this September.

Marking her first new album in fifteen years, Ross recorded the 13-track album at her home studio amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.

“This collection of songs is my gift to you with appreciation and love,” she shares.

Thank You follows her 2006 album I Love You.

Previously unreleased Ennio Morricone music from ’60s-’80s collected in new album

“An acid-tinged sonic journey through mysterious voices, fuzz guitars, airy strings, eerie synths and modern grooves.”

Ennio Morricone’s music is being released in a new album, called Morricone Segreto, via Decca / CAM Sugar this November.

The collection focuses on his output between the late ‘60s and early ‘80s, and includes seven previously unreleased tracks.

Morricone Segreto (Secret Morricone) promises to offer a glimpse of the “hidden, dark-tinged and psychedelic side of the Maestro.”

It has been released to coincide with what would have been his 92nd birthday on the 10th November, following his death earlier this year.

“Beethoven Pleads The Fifth” Won’t Stay Silent

Few pieces are as iconic in the classical canon as Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. Blue Note classics reimagined by Nubya Garcia, Jorja Smith, Shabaka Hutchings and more on new comp

Reworking tracks by Herbie Hancock, Donald Byrd, Joe Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson, Wayne Shorter, McCoy Tyner and more.

Blue Note and Decca Records are releasing a new album of classic Blue Note tracks by UK jazz, soul and r’n’b artists, titled Blue Note Re:imagined, this September.

The album features Shabaka Hutchings, Ezra Collective, Nubya Garcia, Mr Jukes, Steam Down, Skinny Pelembe, Emma-Jean Thackray, Yazmin Lacey, Poppy Ajudha, Jordan Rakei, Fieh, Ishmael Ensemble, Blue Lab Beats, Melt Yourself Down, Alfa Mist, and Jorja Smith.

While the full tracklist remains unknown, Blue Note Re:imagined will feature new versions of tracks by artists including Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Bobby Hutcherson, Joe Henderson, Donald Byrd and McCoy Tyner.

Blue Note Re:imagined follows the label’s release of Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers’ Just Coolin’ album on vinyl for the first time.
