Aston Mics Unveils Spirit Black Bundle

Toronto, Canada (June 25, 2020)—Aston Microphones has unveiled a limited-edition bundle for its flagship condenser mic, the Aston Spirit. The newly announced Spirit Black Bundle brings together a black-textured version of the Spirit, along with an Aston Swiftshield pop filter and shock mount set, limited to 1,500 individually numbered pieces.

The Aston Spirit is a switchable pattern condenser microphone utilizing a 1” gold evaporated capsule. A switch on the mic body selects from Omni, Cardioid or Figure-of-Eight polar patterns. Its “Aston 33 panel”-selected capsule is teamed with high-end transformer balanced circuitry.

Pro Audio Manufacturers Ready for the Rebound

The mic features Aston’s signature Wave-Form Mesh head, a built in ‘stainless steel wool’ pop filter, direct to stand mounting and a tumbled stainless steel chassis. Aston mics come in protective, re-useable packaging made of 99% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable.

Meanwhile, the SwiftShield combines the Aston Swift shock mount and the Aston Shield pop filter into one bundle to aid setting up the mic. Sporting two quick release spring clips designed to fit the Origin, and a range of other mics from 40-60mm diameter, it reportedly speeds mounting a microphone. The shock system uses Aston’s ‘ShockStar’ suspension, eliminating the need for rubber bands, but offering elasticity nonetheless for isolation.
