Crossover Cap Replacement?
[new guy here. I hope this is the right forum.]
I’ve a pair of Magnapan 3.7’s. I’ll guess they’re 12 years outdated. There is a big roll-off beginning round 9kHz and by 20kHz they lose ~15db. It’s fairly constant on either side and regardless of the place I place the mic.
A) is that this regular!?
B) do you assume the crossover caps have aged out?
C) one thing else?
I’ve no worry changing the caps myself. I simply do not need to go through the difficulty, if it will not assist.
