Schiit Audio Modius Balanced Hi-Res Audio DAC

Here’s the deal: Schiit Audio just announced their new $200 DAC. It’s called Modius, as in “Modius Maximus.” As in “a bigger, better, badder-ass Modi.” It has four inputs, including Schiit’s Unison USB and AES/EBU. It has XLR balanced and RCA single-ended outputs. Furthermore, the Modius is based on the excellent AK4493 D/A converter and a whole pile of precision parts according to Schiit, including a 200MHz, 32-bit Microchip microprocessor, the TI LME49724 balanced amplifier, and the OPA1662.
