With the SA-32 AE, Vincent Audio presents a limited special edition of its hybrid stereo preamplifier. The occasion is the 30th anniversary of the Powerline series, whose history began in 1996 with the SA-31 and continued through the SA-31 MK to the SA-32 from 2017.

The new Vincent SA-32 AE is based on the well-known concept but has been revised in several aspects. Notable are a slightly modified design and an enlarged housing that enables additional features. The focus lies on the significantly expanded digital section: in addition to Bluetooth and coaxial and optical inputs, the device now also features an HDMI interface with Audio Return Channel (ARC) for direct connection to a television.

The circuit has also been adjusted. Instead of the four tubes of type 6N16 used previously, two 12AU7 and two ECC88 tubes are now employed. The 12AU7 tubes operate directly behind the input in the signal path and, according to the manufacturer, deliver a warm and captivating listening experience. In the tube-based tone control, the ECC88 tubes take on the role of phase splitters.

A redesigned power supply with an R-Core transformer and capacitors from Wima and Nichicon is intended to ensure especially low residual ripple and high voltage stability. This improves the signal-to-noise ratio, reduces distortions, and increases sound clarity.
